This site collects as little as it can. Here is exactly what is recorded when you visit, why, for how long, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible

This policy covers the website recipewebsummit.com ("this site", "we"). For any question about personal data, contact contact@recipewebsummit.com.

Data we collect

This site has no accounts, no comment forms and no newsletter sign-up. The only data collected automatically is what a web server records in its logs when a page is requested:

  • your IP address;
  • browser type, version and operating system, as sent by your browser;
  • the pages and files requested, and the referring page if your browser sends it;
  • the date and time of each request.

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If a cookie is ever used, it will only be one that is strictly necessary for the site to work, such as remembering a technical setting.

Some links and buttons lead to third-party websites, such as an online store listing. Those sites may set their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

Third-party services

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, it connects to Google servers, which receive your IP address and browser details. Google processes this under its own privacy policy. We use no other embedded third-party services.

Why we use the data

  • Server logs: to deliver pages, keep the site secure, detect abuse and fix technical errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
  • Emails: to answer your message. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying, or taking steps you have asked for.

We do not sell personal data, use it for profiling or share it for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a limited period, normally no longer than 30 days, unless a log is needed to investigate a security incident. Emails are kept until the matter is resolved and then deleted, unless we must keep them for a legal reason.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • rectification of data that is inaccurate;
  • erasure of your data where there is no reason to keep it;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • restrict processing in certain circumstances.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work.

Making a privacy request

Send your request to contact@recipewebsummit.com with the subject line "Privacy request". To find log entries, it helps to include the approximate date and time of your visit and your IP address at that time. We may ask for information to confirm the request is yours, and we aim to respond within one month.

Children

This site is intended for adults who plan household shopping. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
